Who hear the name of Sicily, an island located in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, is going to think about the beautiful sea and beaches. It will be a little trip into flavours and Mediterranean culture, with skis under your feet and the sea underneath the horizon.

Etna covered the east part of the island, the highest active volcano of Europe and the fifth highest relief of Italy. Therefore in winter its slopes are covered by snow and people can practise a lot of winter sport.

Skiing on Mt. Etna can give unique and particular sensations, thanks to the continuous contrast offer by the landscape: a contrast between the black slide of lava flow and the snow white, with the deep blue of the Ionio sea background.

From the top of the crater (3335 m) to the ski station of Linguaglossa are good 1500 meter of descent and, one another way, from Punta Lucia to the base of the south-west mountainside covered 2000 meter of ski run, that could be done of a magic powder or in a beautiful “sexy spring snow”.

Even so, here came the best point, because the snow, that stay in the second place, are not the most important thing. First place goes to the farm, where we are going to spend our trip’s days; this farm is a very typical Sicilian farm since the beginning of this century and here you can smell and taste an homely cooking, cures of Ms. Anna Curcio, meet the mythical Tommaselli family and discover a very genuine hospitality!
